The Launceston Benevolent Society provides various essential services aimed at supporting those vulnerable individuals and families within the community. We supply all these services and resources at no charge, everything that is donated is given back to the community.

We provide.

 

  •  Food relief, for our clients, in the form of hampers. These hampers include pantry items, fresh fruit and vegetables, premade meals, bread, dairy products.
  • Baby needs, in the form of, nappies, wipes, clothing and general childcare products.
  • Clothing, we have new and preloved clothing, all donated. Men's, ladies, children's and babies. 
  • Sleepwear, pyjamas, nighties, sleeping gowns.
  • Footwear, shoes, slippers, boots, thongs, men's ladies, children's.
  • Linen, blankets, donnas, doona covers, pillows, sheets, towels, tea towels, face washers.
  • Household needs, cutlery, crockery, containers, saucepans, utensils, glasses, cups, cookware.
  • Hygiene Products, toilet paper, sanitary needs, shampoos, soaps, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant's.
  • House cleaning products, washing powder, general cleaning products.
  • Furniture, beds, chairs, couches, fridges, freezers, dryers, dining settings.
  • Homeless needs, sleeping bags, stretcher beds, tents, swags, camping cookware essentials.
  • Assistance with applying for a NILS loan.
  • Assistance with Energy bills.
  • We offer a Bread delivery service. Every morning our volunteers go around supermarkets picking up the day-old bread and pastry items. which is brought back to our warehouse sorted out, then delivered to communities and center's around Launceston. This assists all those people in the community who without this assistance may have gone without. Products include breads, donuts, scrolls, scones, rolls, sourdough breads, various sweet pastries.
  • We offer Bread in our reception area for people to come in and get supplies if needed.
