The Launceston Benevolent Society is an Incorporated Association within the meaning of the Associations Incorporation Act 1964 (Tas) and a non profit body for the purposes of the Income Tax Assessment Act.

We have ongoing membership (annually $10) to the Launceston Benevolent society and members elect a Board of Management who meet once a month to manage the affairs of the Society.

Debra is the CEO of Begents Electrical Furniture and Bedding. She has over 15 years experience at a business board level and is directly responsible for over 40 employees.Debra is married with a young family and has been involved with Lifelink Samaritans.  Being born and raised in Launceston she is very passionate about this city and the people that live in it.

Debra Hills

Debra is the CEO of Begents Electrical Furniture and Bedding. She has over 15 years experience at a business board level and is directly responsible for over 40 employees.Debra is married with a young family and has been involved with Lifelink Samaritans.  Being born and raised in Launceston she is very passionate about this city and the people that live in it. 

Robert Anderson

Currently a Property Consultant with Ray White Launceston, Rob has many years of experience across various committees and boards, including the Northern Tasmanian Football Association, St Kilda's Supporters Group, and Newnham Neighbourhood Treasurer.

Rob Kenna

A Tasmanian through and through, Rob has lived in Launceston most of his life married to Jan, but spent time on the North West Coast with his employers, the ANZ Bank. Having spent 33 years in Banking, Rob has been a Finance Broker, working for himself for the last 16 years.

Rob has served on many Boards over the years (the LBS for 8 years, with 3 as Chairman) and enjoys many Interests, including sport of any kind.

John Stevenson 

Born Launceston in 1944 and married to Janet, with 2 children and currently 6 grandchildren, John was educated at Launceston Church Grammar School then worked in a Chartered Accountant's office for 10 years followed by 40 years as an accountant and estate clerk fo a firm of Solicitors.

He is a former LBS Board Member and presently volunteers at the Eskleigh Foundation, and a JP at HJAT office in Henty House.

His other interests include golf, tennis, gardening and spending time as a grey nomad.
